We keep pulling. We'd love you on the rope with us
In the end we didn't make it to the World Championship in South Africa as a full team. The club carries on regardless — we train three times a week, we travel to competitions, and we're starting a youth section. Here's an honest account of how the fundraiser ended, and how you can help now.

That's what you sent us between you for the trip to the World Championship in Mossel Bay. It wasn't enough to get an eleven-strong squad there.
So we closed the fundraiser and every contribution is going back to the accounts it came from — nobody is out of pocket. Thank you to everyone who backed us.
What happened next
Three of our members made the trip after all — Petr Popelka, Kristýna Zemanová and Jakub Kolařík. The South African club Oudtshoorn Toutrek Klub was short of pullers for its squads, so ours went out and pulled in their colours.
Back home we pushed on elsewhere. Two of our coaches earned their tug of war coaching licence and the club is starting a youth section — children's training runs every Wednesday on the pitch at the 3rd Primary School in Rakovník.
And the promise still stands: that was the last World Championship without a TOW Rakovník team in it.
